Hi Ken,

Good suggestion! I certainly agree. We are overdue to get involved in community service.

What kind of community service events are you thinking of? Can you give us any examples?

We did post a few volunteering ideas on this webpage:
https://www.greenwoodmensgroup.com/volunteering.html

Examples from that page are:
- Ballard Food Bank
- Adopt-a-Street
- Adopt-a-Drain
- Coaching young people with their sports activities in community centers

A different kind of community service event that we recently put on was the prostate health seminar at the GSC, which was open to the community. This was a "Greenwood Men's Group sponsored" event.

A few years ago we did some cleanup of the grounds at both GSC and PNA. We had a good time and made the facilities look a lot better. I don't know why this service hasn't been repeated.

I know that Jeff does quite a bit of volunteer service at the Loyal Heights Community Center as well as GSC/PNA. It seems that community centers always need help, especially with fund-raising events.

I'm sure there's an abundance of community service opportunities out there. I just don't know what they all are.

Maybe some of the other guys have some ideas on this topic.
