One aspect of the Greenwood Men's Group in Seattle is to learn from others, and especially from each other.
A great way to learn more about one another is for a member to give a presentation to the group.
The collective knowledge and experience of the group is varied, very interesting, and quite amazing. Together, we have over 3,000 years of life experience. Our goal is to mine little nuggets out of those 3,000 years. Every guy has a story to tell. Every guy knows something the others don't know or understand.
As an example, one of the first presentations we had was from a member who is a very accomplished photographer. He presented a fascinating slide show of history's greatest photographers, along with samples and explanations of their work and their biographies.
Another example…a member give a presentation showing how horses altered the course of human civilization. That presentation in particular resulting in a lively discussion among the group.
In a different vein, another member gave a presentation on how to change your habits, based on "Atomic Habits" by James Clear.
There have been a number of presentations, ranging from an introduction to physics to how a guy built a car from scratch to how to manage rudeness. And what you will do before now and when your die. But so far we've only touched the surface.
Surely, there is something your background the group would like to know more about. How about stepping up to the plate and telling the group about it? Don't be shy! The group is very kind to presenters. Make it fun and let's hear from you.

The Greenwood Men's Group welcomes presentations from outside individuals or entities that will enlighten and provide value to the group.
As an example, we had a body movement expert come to a meeting and teach us simple ways to improve flow and flexibility, which generated a positive response.
Another example is a recent presentation from a social worker who explained the various programs in our community for improving social connections.
Other examples are presentations on how to age in place, how to deal with memory loss, and how to deal with prostate issues.
Do you have any ideas for presentations by outside professionals, experts or someone who is just plain interesting? If you think it might be valuable or of interest to the group, please tell us more about your idea below.
