The Greenwood Men's Group guidance committee consists of five members of the men's group.

The purpose of the committee is to coordinate the group's activities in cooperation with the Greenwood Senior Center men's group facilitator. 

Guidance Committee Duties & Responsibilities

The committee:

  • Serves at the pleasure of the group.
  • Is the decision-making entity within the men's group.
  • Is the group's representative to GSC staff, including to the men's group facilitator.
  • Collaborates with GSC staff regarding event planning and execution.
  • Listens to and responds to the wants of the group.
  • Sets internal policies and procedures as appropriate, contingent upon the group's consent.
  • Plans for group sustainment over the long run.
  • Assists GSC staff with marketing and promotion.
  • Collaborates with task committees.
